It involves the use of either clear removable aligners or clear fixed braces to correct mild to moderate problems in a short period of time and at an affordable price. The removable aligners and clear fixed braces are all made of transparent materials and are nearly invisible in the mouth, making teeth straightening discreet.

Treatments for teeth straightening usually take between 4 and 24 weeks depending on complexity.

Deciding to straighten your teeth does require both a time and financial commitment. Our Quick Straight Teeth (QST) system shortens that time period and reduces the cost for our patients. We find that patients do have many questions before committing to an orthodontic program and we have shared a few below with you. However, we are more than happy to discuss any others or these ones in further detail with you.

Do braces hurt?

The Quick Straight Teeth system is gentler than traditional orthodontic practices, with the pressure placed on your teeth considerably less. Most patients describe only mild discomfort at each new stage of treatment, easily resolved by over the counter analgesics.

What foods can I eat?

The great news is that you can continue to eat your usual meals and snacks with QST. During your treatment, you may find that your teeth are slightly more sensitive than usual, so we encourage you to take care when eating hard foods. Avoiding sugary drinks and sticky food such as chewing gum and toffee is recommended.

How do I know if my teeth are suitable for QST?

We will undertake an initial assessment of your teeth and mouth to let you know if you are a suitable candidate. Quick Straight Teeth is especially suited for simple to moderate misalignment issues. As QST concentrates on straightening only the front six or eight teeth, patients with severe misalignment may not be suitable.

How often do I have to wear my braces?

QST has both fixed and removable appliances and your dentist will help you choose the best one for your situation. A fixed brace will remain attached to your teeth for the course of your treatment. A removable appliance needs to be worn as often as you can, but can be removed for eating and teeth cleaning. It is recommended that you wear your aligners all the time, but for at least 20 hours each day.

Will people know I am wearing Quick Straight Teeth aligners?

Both the fixed and removable aligners are very discreet and are either tooth coloured or transparent. Many patients report that others rarely notice they have an aligner, with the results themselves being more noticeable than the braces. Streamlined and fitted perfectly for your teeth, they are almost invisible.
